Prostitutes Anonymous was formed on August 15, 1987 by J. Williams. The first meeting was in Tarzana, California.
Our recovery guide was worked on by all the membership for a few years - and finally published in 1991. It was affectionately entitled "No Sale".
Because of the way the internet has affected the sex industry - we changed the name of our group to
Sex Workers Anonymous.
Currently we have meetings in various cities throughout the USA, Canada, and even in other countries like New Zealand and France.
We are working to put our recovery guide online so everyone can read it. Until then - you can order a copy for only $10 (price includes postage).
SWA is open to men and women of any age, race, religion, culture, gender, sexuality, or location with a desire to leave any area of the sex industry behind.
Phone support, mail/email support, online group chat, im conversations in yahoo, and even face to face meetings are available depending on your location and needs.
Just contact us and we'll connect you to what you need.
All contact is confidential.
